if you're in the area this friday night, my brother and his girlfriend are having a show at the dolphin gallery. justin works in multiple mediums and continues to impress me with the pieces he comes up with. after graduating from goldsmiths in london, his work changed a bit but it is still equally as amazing as it was before his graduate studies. as for his girlfriend erika, she too majored in fibers at the kansas city art institute but mostly weaves. aside from the art she exhibits, she also makes lovely scarves. i'm not familiar with the work of the other two guys but from the images on the dolphin website, i would love to be able to make the show...unfortunately it's another houston weekend for the mister and me. until then, enjoy a little preview.
